Charles Lewis Kimbell, 84, of Forsyth, Georgia, passed away Friday, October 27th, surrounded by family following a short battle with Leukemia. Visitation will be held from 5:30 until 7:30 on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel 86 West Main Street Forsyth. A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Save A Pet Forsyth 618 Maynard Church Rd, Forsyth, GA 31029.
Son of the late Charlie Lee Kimbell and MariSue Lewis Kimbell Miller, Charles was born November 23, 1938, in Forsyth, Georgia. He attended Gordon Military School. After High School, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
Charles was a Master Barber prior to becoming a truck driver. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and later became a driving instructor for many years. In retirement, he enjoyed spending time with family, friends and his beloved dog, Joe.
Charles is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce (Joye) Daniels Kimbell of Forsyth; daughter, Marie Hassey (Jeff) of Griffin; son, Mike Kimbell (Carma) of Newnan; daughter, Suzie Pieri (Matthew) of Forsyth; daughter, Lisa Zani (John) of Phenix City, Alabama; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Sue Laney (Ray) and Brenda Thrasher (Larry); brothers, John Miller (Vickie), Freddy Miller (Rhonda), and Robbie Miller (Angie); and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Eddie Miller (Juanita).
