Cathy Watts Jenkins

Cathy Lanelle Watts Jenkins passed away on Monday evening, May 17th. Graveside service and visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Monroe Memorial Gardens cemetery. Rev. Pamela Johnston will officiate.

Cathy, the daughter of the late Roy Edward Watts, Sr. and Marian Lanelle Jordan Watts, was born August 3, 1961 in Forsyth, Georgia. She was employed with thirty-four years of service as an elementary teacher with the Monroe County School System. Most recently, she was employed at the Monroe County Health Department. Cathy was a graduate of Tift College and Mercer University where she received her masters degree. Cathy was also a lifetime member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. She was the epitome of southern class and kindness, and she was loved by all who met her.

Cathy is survived by her husband, John Jenkins; son, Andy (Chelsie) Jenkins; brother Roy (Lynn) Watts, Jr; sister, Debbie Bush; grandchildren, Isabel Jenkins and Cooper Jenkins, all of Forsyth.

The family may be contacted at the residence of Andy and Chelsie Jenkins, 119 Hillsdale Road, Forsyth, GA 31029.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 1671 Dames Ferry Road, Forsyth, Ga 31029.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
