Carol Frances Raddle

December 19, 1941 — June 3, 2023

 

Charismatic Carol Frances (McCrum) Raddle, 81 years young, recently of Forsyth, Georgia passed away on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023. At the time, she was being taken care of at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin, Georgia.  She was born on December 19, 1941, in Portland, Oregon to the late Frank & Constance (Nelson) McCrum, residing most of her life in Milwaukie, Oregon.

Carol met her husband Don of 47 years while working at SP&S Railroad.  They married in 1967 in Portland, Oregon.  Over the years she wore many hats; homemaker, running the family business known as Athletes Sole, Assistant at a Stock Brokerage, and various other jobs.  She embraced life, but she excelled at being a Wife, Mom, Grandmother and Friend.  For those that knew her, she was larger than life (or herself).   

Carol is survived by her daughter Dena (Steve) Wheeler of Forsyth, GA; son Todd (Sherilyn) Raddle of Salem, OR; grandchildren Nikki Wheeler, Kyle Wheeler, Caiden Raddle, and Colby Raddle. Brother Ronald McCrum of Wilsonville, OR, and many members of her extended family.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald  Raddle, and her faithful companion, Mr. Murphy, who was the king of Pomeranians, her parents, Frank and Constance McCrum, and in-laws Donald (big “D”) and Loraine Raddle. 

There is No formal memorial service planned at this time. Arrangements are being made for final interment at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
