Brenda Leigh Chastain

Brenda Leigh Chastain, 53, of Forsyth Passed away August 10, 2024. Born November 20, 1970, in Macon Georgia to the late Ernest Dewey Chastain and the late JoAnn Cravey. A memorial service will be held in the future. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to The Pregnancy Center 562 North Lee Street Forsyth Georgia 31029 or Dames Ferry Baptist Church 189 Old Dames Ferry Road Juliette Georgia 31046. 

Brenda moved several times at an early age before settling in Forsyth in 1995. Brenda made many friends during her working life, especially during her years working at Ingles Markets where she was well liked and respected for her friendly nature and willingness to help. She enjoyed music, her favorite being 1980’s country. Brenda was a faithful member of Dames Ferry Baptist Church. 

Brenda is survived by her children William Scott of Sneads Florida, Joshua Caleb Steinkamp (Shannon Steinkamp) of Sandersville Georgia, Joseph Lee Steinkamp of Forsyth Georgia, and Rebecca Leigh Toledo- Castro (Roberto) of Griffin Georgia; brothers Dewey Chastain of Forsyth Georgia, and Royce Selph of Warner Robins Georgia; grandchildren Rylan Faith Scott, Dixie Rae Scott, Remington Colt Scott, Joshua Steinkamp Jr, Elisabeth Anne Steinkamp, Sebastian Aiden Toledo-Castro, Daniel Matthew Toledo-Castro, Elias Santiago Toledo-Castro and Sophia Grace Toledo-Castro several aunt, uncles nieces, nephews and many friends.
