Billy Carl Eskew - Macon GA

Better known as “Wild Bill” Eskew, was born in Atlanta, GA on August 26^th, 1959, to the late Richard and Mary Eskew. He transitioned to his Heavenly home on July 9^th, 2023, after a well fought battle with an extended illness.  

Wild Bill was a Master certified Auto Body Technician for over 40 years and most recently worked for Bryant’s Collision Center in Forsyth, GA prior to retirement. Bill’s knowledge and skillset were unmatched in his industry.

All who knew Wild Bill, knew he had a huge heart of gold, was fiercely loyal to his family, friends and to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ – but it’s his love for his granddaughters and all the children he “adopted” (affectionately labeled “Bill’s Kids”) that is his legacy.  Like clockwork, he would make 2 or 3 trips – totaling well over 100 miles – every Wednesday and Sunday, to get them all to and from Church at Turning Point Community Church, where he helped lead countless of youth to know Jesus and to baptism. Bill was a positive role model, mentor, and father figure to more youth in middle GA than can be counted.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Robbie Eskew and Timbo Eskew. He is survived by 2 sons, Billy Carl Eskew(Tiffanie), Jr of TN and Bryant Cole Eskew of Macon, granddaughters Cheyenne Eskew of TN, Ava Eskew of Forsyth, daughter in love Christy Kitchens of Forsyth, brothers Terry Eskew of Macon, Randy Eskew of Macon, Scottie Eskew, of Atlanta, friend and former wife of 20 years Bertina Eskew Bagley of Ellijay, and his beloved companion of 14 years, his bulldog Leroy.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Turning Point Community Church, 1415 Bass Road, Macon, GA.  The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00pm. Service begins at 3:00 with Pastor Lee Sheppard officiating.
