Beverly Aldridge, a retired Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Deputy and life-long resident of Forsyth, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on August 12, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 17th, 2022 at Monroe County Memorial Chapel will visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Monroe Memorial Gardens., Rev. Don Shepherd and Rev. Christa Shepherd will officiate.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Glenn Aldridge; her daughters, Angel Aldridge and Jennifer Vinson (Jesse); grandson, James Dorris; brother, Gary Reid; nephews, Derrick Reid, Darren Reid (Wendy), and Daylon Reid (Terri); one niece, Dana Reid, and their children.
She was predeceased in death by her father, Edward Reid, mother, Lillian Merle Reid, and sister, Daphne Reid.
Beverly was born on October 14, 1954 to Edward and Lillian Reid. She graduated from Mary Persons High School and went on to serve her community as the first female deputy for Monroe County Sheriff’s Office for more than 42 years. Beverly was a devoted mother, friend, and public servant. She never met a stranger and loved everyone deeply. She was a blessing to not only her family, but to her friends and community as well. She will be forever treasured by all those who knew her.
The family requests no flowers but suggests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
