Betty Ruth Garbutt Davis, 84, of High Falls passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017. Mrs. Davis was born July 14, 1933 in Lawton, Oklahoma but has lived in Monroe County, GA since 1969. She was the daughter of the late Thomas W Garbutt and Ida Beatrice Wicks and the loving wife of the late Clifford E. Davis Sr. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and a member of Providence Congregational Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed volunteering for many local organizations including Girl Scouts, youth leader, and the Monroe County Exchangettes Club. She is survived by her four children; Clifford Jr and Robyn Davis of Sandersville GA, Daniel and Donna Davis of Bogart GA, Connie and James Copelan of Smarr GA, Deborah and Douglas Blasus of Forsyth GA; twelve grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and many other loving family members. Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Forsyth, GA. Pastor Mary Jo Willoughby will officiate. The family will greet friends the day of the service from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Providence Congregational Methodist Church, 4344 High Falls Rd Jackson, GA 30233. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
