Barry Williams

Mr. Barry Otto Williams, “Turkey,” age 72, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin, GA.

Barry was born Sunday, December 21, 1952, in Monroe County, Georgia to the late James Otto Williams and Gladys Muriel Tingle Williams. Barry was a down-to-earth, hardworking man who will be remembered for his quick wit, his love of life, and the laughter he shared with everyone around him. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Nascar and Karaoke.

Barry is survived by his sons, Jason Williams (Amanda) and Brian Williams (Christy); his siblings, Benae Williams Hogan, Luther Williams (Lucy), and Terry Williams (Sandi). He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom he loved dearly.

A memorial service to celebrate Barry’s life will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Monroe County Memorial Chapel, Forsyth, Georgia. The family encourages all attendees to wear jeans in memory of Barry’s love for the outdoors.
