Barbra Erin Kitchens

Barbra Erin “Gigi” Kitchens, 52, of Forsyth, passed away Monday, January 22, 2024.  Memorial services will be at Turning Point Community Church, Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 2:00PM, with the Reverend Michael Fuller officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. 

Erin chose the profession of a dental hygienist and worked in that profession for years - but she had the passion and talent of doing decorative painting - faux finishes, complex stains, intricate and unique patterns, even antiquing metals and furniture.  She loved spending time outdoors and especially enjoyed camping. Erin spent time in every state in the continental United States, but her favorite place to camp was High Falls.  A fierce lover and fighter, GiGi was the rock of her family.  

Erin was preceded in death by her parents, Joel “Bop” and Betty Wood; and her brother, Andy Wood.  She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Billy Kitchens of Forsyth; daughters, Sydney Moore (Cody) of Gray, and Christy Kitchens of Macon; sons, Thomas Kitchens of Forsyth, and Lance Kitchens (Gini) of Macon; grandchildren, Makaylee Kitchens, Lance Kitchens, Jr., Morgan Howell, Ava Eskew, Kylee Kitchens, Alana Kitchens, Piper Moore, Evelyn Moore, Melody Moore and Finley Moore; brothers, Joel Wood (Ann), and Donnie Wood (Janet); sister-in-law, Kim Reid (Todd) brother in law Mark Kitchens (Sabrina),nieces Tatum Kitchens, Kinley Kitchens, Kaelyn Mitchell and Kristina Reid.
