Austin Wayne Rutherford

Austin Wayne Rutherford passed away Monday, July 31, 2017. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 3, 2017, at Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery, 1560 Bethesda Church Road, Union Point, GA 30669. Rev. Jim Olds will officiate.  The family will greet friends following the service at the graveside.  Mr. Rutherford, the son of the late Austin Ned Rutherford and Ethyl Muriel Pate Rutherford was born April 14, 1942, in Wilkes County Georgia. He was retired from the logging industry.  Survivors include his children, Boyce Rutherford (Kelli) of Haddock, Kim Sheffield (Chuck) of Gray and Austin Rutherford of Gray; sisters, Nedra Legg (Jimmy) of Comer, Georgia and Sharon Robertson (Mike) of Pelzer, South Carolina; and four grandchildren.Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
