Anita Allen Dumas, 84, of Forsyth, Georgia, passed away on November 28, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Dayspring Presbyterian Church, 1045 Highway 41 S Forsyth, Georgia. The Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow the service at Monroe Memorial Gardens Ensign Road Forsyth, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Dayspring Presbyterian Church, 1045 Highway 41 S, Forsyth, Georgia 31029, or the Pregnancy and Family Life Center, 562 North Lee Street, Forsyth, Georgia 31029.
Anita was born on October 2, 1940, in Buford, Georgia, to the late William “Bill” Allen and Louise Buice Allen. She was a volunteer for the Monroe County Family and Life Center and served on the board of the Pregnancy Center as an original board member. She enjoyed mentoring and giving advice to many young couples. Anita retired from Monroe County Bank where her friendly nature and smile will be remembered by customers and coworkers alike.
Anita was a faithful member of Dayspring Presbyterian Church since 1981. During her young married years, she was a part of the Navigators Ministry for military families. In her spare time, Anita loved to garden and work in her yard. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Anita is survived by her husband of sixty-four years, Denny Dumas of Forsyth; son, Kent Dumas (Tracy) of Anchorage, Alaska; daughter, Allena Paget (Jeffery) of Fayetteville, Georgia; grandchildren, Lauren Paget, Kyle Paget, Dylan Dumas, and Chase Dumas; and many friends.
In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by her son, Jess Allen Dumas, and her sister, Alice Surratt.
Monroe County Memorial Chapel 86 West Main Street Forsyth, Georgia, has charge of the arrangements.
