Melvin Kenneth Sampson

Melvin Kenneth Sampson passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.  Burial will be private.  Glenn Keys will officiate.  The family will greet friends the day of the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home.  Mr. Sampson, the son of the late Etrel Winstead Sampson and Anna Flossie Fuller Sampson was born March 11, 1951, in Lansing, Michigan. His sister, Janet Doris Sampson and his brother, LeRoy Sampson preceded him in death.  He was employed as a mechanic with LKQ Auto Parts and Supplies.  Survivors include his wife, Debra Lee Boggio Sampson; children, Timothy John Sampson, Kenneth Winstead Sampson, Melvin James “Jay” Sampson, Kayte Lee West and Tracy Ann Redmond; sisters, Norma Hamond, Janie Peck, Sue Green and Christina Sampson; brothers, Bruce Sampson, Wayne Sampson and Ron Sampson; sixteen grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.  Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
