Ralph C. Gore passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Northside Congregational Holiness Church with burial in Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens. Rev. Watson Jones will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mr. Gore, the son of the late Pope Gore and Maudie Deese Gore was born April 23, 1933, in Bowdon, Georgia. His grandchildren, Lynn Ballenger and P J Treadwell; his sons-in-law, Ricky Gardner and W A Ballenger; and his great grandchild, Ayden Bearden preceded him in death. He was retired owner and operator of Forsyth Refrigeration, a veteran of the United States Marines serving during the Korean War and a member of Northside Congregational Holiness Church. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Gore of Forsyth; children, Jeanelle Garner of Forsyth, Ralph (Wanda) Gore, Jr. of Forsyth, Debora Ballenger of Jackson, Sam (LaVaughn) Gore of Jenkinsburg and Brenda (Chuck) Starnes of Musella; sister, Ruth Gore Langley of Bowdon; brother, James A “Jack” (Paulette) Gore of Bolingbroke; ten grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
