Elizabeth Hardy

Rebecca Elizabeth Ellerbee Hardy passed away Friday, February 24, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at Rocky Creek Baptist Church with burial in Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens.  Rev. Scott Harrell will officiate. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service at the Church.  Mrs. Hardy, the daughter of the late Brady Ellerbee and Iona White Ellerbee was born November 26, 1926, in Thomaston, Georgia. Her husband, Charles Perry Hardy preceded her in death.  She retired from William Carter Company as a supervisor.  Mrs. Hardy was a member and former deacon of Rocky Creek Baptist Church.  Survivors include her sons, Ray (Judy) Hardy of Beaumont, Texas and Barry (Peggy) Hardy of College Station, Texas; daughters, Dale Hardy of Alpharetta and Gloria (Bob) Buffington of Forsyth; seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 225 Rocky Creek Road, Forsyth, Ga 31029.  Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
