Eleanor Maxine Bane Stovall passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m, Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery, 201 Mount Vernon Hwy., Sandy Springs, GA 30328. The family will greet friends from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Sandy Springs Chapel, 136 Mount Vernon Hwy. NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Mrs. Stovall, the daughter of the late Thomas Russell Bane and Myrtle Burdette Bane was born February 4, 1927, in Ellsworth, Illinois. Her husband, Willard Hughes Stovall preceded her in death. She was retired from the Merchandise Mart, was a member of the Pilot Club of Atlanta and also held a Pilot’s License. Survivors include her children, Larry (Carol) Miller of Juliette, Stephen (Debbie) Sovereign of Bloomington, Illinois, Dewey (Connie) Stovall of Juliette and Marty Destefano of Atlanta; stepchildren, Bill Stovall of Melbourne, Florida, Vickie Lambert of Gallatin, Tennessee, Linda (Greg) Zimmerman of Buckhead, Joe (Bob) Keith of Alpharetta and Carolyn (Jesse) Fordham of Kennesaw; sixteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association, Post Office Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
