Gerald William (J.W.) Courter

Gerald William (J.W.) Courter a longtime resident of Juliette, Georgia passed away peacefully, Thursday, February 9, 2017, surrounded by his loving families in his Juliette home.  Jerry, the son of the late Ellis William Courter and Clara Kozak Courter was born January 6, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan.  Jerry worked in downtown Macon for the Southern Bell Company and retired in 1989. He was also a 41 year member of the Macon Health Club. His hobbies included travel, building homes, model boats, airplanes and restoration of classic cars.  Friend to everyone, devoted loving father survived by his children, Thomas (Shelley) Courter of Bonaire, Kathrine (Matthew) Rush of Orlando, Florida, Dawn (Robert) Gasorski of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, Kristine (Ken) Weachter of Taylor, Michigan, Christopher (Diana) Courter of Bayport, Michigan and Erik (Leslie) Courter of Redford, Michigan;  sister, Kay (Richard) Borough of Fresno, California; and fifteen grandchildren.  A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, February 12, 2017, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dean Clements will officiate.
