William Lowell (Billy) Waldrep passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 11, 2017, at Paran Baptist Church with burial in Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens. Rev. Baker Earwood will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 10, 2017, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mr. Waldrep, the son of the late Charles Maurice Waldrep and Thelma Ruth Brown Waldrep was born June 23, 1936, in Forsyth, Georgia. His grandson, Andy Burson preceded him in death. He was a retired rural mail carrier and a retired cattle farmer. Mr. Waldrep was a member and deacon of Paran Baptist Church, a Board Member of Monroe County Farm Bureau and was active with the Cattleman’s Association. Survivors include his wife, Myra Gittens Waldrep of Forsyth; children, Gloria Waldrep of Forsyth, Bill (Sarah) Waldrep of Forsyth and Brooke (Steve) Burson of Conyers; sister, Joy (John) Mahan of Tunnel Hill; grandchildren, Caroline Waldrep, Tula Waldrep, Willow Waldrep, Adam Burson and Ryan Burson. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 1101 Northchase Parkway, Suite 1, Marietta, GA 30067-6411. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
