Larry Gilbert Willingham passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 1, 2017, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Pastor Micah Carr will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mr. Willingham, the son of the late James Thomas Willingham and Ruby Pearl Bridgeman Willingham was born February 17, 1941, in Macon, Georgia. He was a veteran of the United States Navy with twenty-two years of service and he also retired as an automotive high school teacher Survivors include his wife, Cora Willingham of Juliette; children, Tom (Kelley) Hill of Whittier, North Carolina, Larry E. Hill of Cherokee North Carolina, Melonie Willingham of St. Augustine, Florida and Carrie (Link) Miller of Juliette; sisters, Jean (Bobby) Jones of Byron and Margie Hall of Macon, Mary (Hal) Polk of Macon and Ann Blasingame of Ft. Valley; brother, Tommy (Rose) Willingham of Juliette; and five grandchildren.
