Francis "Frank" Sidney Irby

Francis “Frank” Sidney Irby entered his heavenly home Saturday, December 24, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Vineville Baptist Church, 2591 Vineville Avenue, Macon, GA 31204 with burial in Monroe Memorial Gardens, Ensign Road, Forsyth, GA 31029.  Rev. Rodney Queen will officiate.  The family will greet friends the day of the service from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the Church.  Mr. Irby, the son of the late Joseph Francis Irby was born September 25, 1945, in Macon, Georgia. His former wife of thirty-eight years, Brenda Minter Irby preceded him in death.  He was a graduate of Southwest DeKalb High School and attended West Georgia College.  Mr. Irby was retired from Georgia Power Company and was a veteran of the United States Navy serving on the USS Saratoga during Vietnam.  He was a member and former deacon of Vineville Baptist Church and a member of Jones County Cruiser Car Club.  Survivors include his wife of four wonderful years, Susan Irby of Gray; mother, Ruby Webb of Macon; step-children, Michael (Jennifer) Franklin of Smarr, Lesley (Jeff) Blizzard of Forsyth; sisters, Cecilia McNeeley of Kite and Sharyl (Gary) Lance of Macon; eight step-grandchildren that he loved dearly and several niece and nephews.  Flowers will be accepted or the family suggests donations to Vineville Baptist Church, 2591 Vineville Avenue, Macon, GA 31204. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
