Bessie Kimbell Thomson

Bessie Kimbell Thomson passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Forsyth City Cemetery.  Rev. Franklin Etheridge will officiate.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.  Mrs. Thomson, the daughter of the late Hugh Lumpkin Kimbell and Rosa Roquemore Kimbell was born June 20, 1920, in Forsyth, Georgia. Her husband, Richard H. Thomson, Jr. preceded her in death.  Mrs. Thomson assisted her husband in his carburetor repair shop. She was a cosmology graduate and was a volunteer for twenty-four years with the Medical Center of Columbus.  Survivors include her daughter, Betty (Chuck) Cotton of Baconton, Georgia; grandchildren, Trea (Alex) Cotton of Deltona, Florida and Jenny (Terry) Gibson of St. Marys, Georgia; son-in-law, Greg Potts of Kingsland, Georgia; great grandchildren, Andrew Potts, Paige Potts and Chase Cotton.  Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
