James Franklin Southerland

James Franklin Southerland passed away Friday, July 22, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2016, at Locust Grove City Cemetery, Locust Grove, Georgia.  Rev. Mike McMullan will officiate.   Mr. Southerland, the son of the late Gordon Houston Southerland and Carvell Wood Southerland was born August 1, 1933, in Columbus, Georgia. His daughter, Nancy Andrews preceded him in death. He was retired from Atlanta Sharptech.  Survivors include his wife, Mary Southerland of High Falls; children, Tesa (John) Hinton of Stockbridge, James (Gail) Gipson and Robert (Dannett) Gipson of Dallas, Georgia. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
