Tara Whiddon Jones

VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE   Tara Terena Whiddon Jones passed away Friday, July 15, 2016. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Plenitude Baptist Church.  Burial will be private.  Pastor Tommy Freeman will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at Hart’s Mortuary at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210.  Tara was born July 28, 1969, in Macon, Georgia. Her grandparents, Robbie Joe and Mabel Beck and Marie Price preceded her in death.  She was a 1987 graduate of Tattnall Square Academy and was employed with Reeves Construction Company.  Tara was a member of Plentitude Baptist Church, where she was an active Youth Group Leader.   Survivors include her husband of twenty-three years, Jimmy Jones; daughter, Megan Summer Jones; parents, John and Robbie Whiddon all of Jones County; mother-in-law, JoAnn Jones of Macon; sister and brother-in-law, Tonya and Jay Stroman of Athens; and nieces, Allie and Holly Stroman of Athens.  The family may be contacted at the residence, 3484 Upper River Road, Macon, Georgia 31211.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Youth Group of Plentitude Baptist Church, 145 Plentitude Church Road, Gray, Ga 31032 or Relay for Life of Jones County, 339 Railroad Street, Gray, GA 31032.  Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
