VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE Martha Virginia Durden Beck, 83, entered into her final resting place on Sunday, May 22, 2016, at Pine Pointe Hospice after an extended illness.
She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Thelma Edwards Durden, her husband Billy Dean Beck, her son Reggie Beck, and her sister Louise Durden Brewer.
Virginia was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who always put God first and cherished her family. She was a member of Shurlington United Methodist Church who taught adult Sunday school. She was a successful realtor/ broker for 35 years and was a lifetime Million Dollar member, Realtor of the Year, Vice President of the Macon Board of Realtors and received many more awards that show her dedication and devotion to her career. She retired in 2009 from Remax of Macon.
She is survived by her daughter, Deena Beck Hammond, her son Ricky (Jan) Beck both from Jones County, daughter in law Patti Beck, Titusville, Florida, grandchildren Tiffani Hammond, Paige (Brad) Hitchcock, Matt (Robin) Beck, Staci (Lee) Rice, Ashley Beck Cochran, and Tyler (Kadi) Beck and 10 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon for the wonderful care they gave to their mother, grandmother and her entire family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at Shurlington United Methodist Church, with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Rev. William Neely and Rev. Gary Thomas will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel, 86 West Main Street, Forsyth, GA 31029.
