Susan Dixon Woods

Susan Marie Dixon Woods passed away Friday, March 25, 2016. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 2, 2016, at New Providence Baptist Church.  Burial will be private.  Rev. Brian Moore and Rev. Stan Percival will officiate.  The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the church.  Mrs. Woods was born May 7, 1958 in Macon, Georgia. She retired from Forsyth County Board of Education as Director of Food Services.  Mrs. Woods was a member of New Providence Baptist Church, a member and past president of Georgia School Nutrition Association and a member of American Dietetic Association.  Survivors include her husband, Bobby Woods of Forsyth; daughter, Mary Woods of Forsyth; step-children, Keith Woods, and Chris Woods of Leesburg; parents Jesse and Mary Dixon of Macon; sister, Nancy Dixon Cain of Griffin; brother, David Dixon of Juliette; grandsons, Colby LeGaualt and Colton Mullis; step grandchildren, Nathan Woods, Al Morgan White and Owen Woods.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to New Providence Baptist Church – Celebrate Recovery Ministry or to New Providence Baptist Church Building Fund, 2561 Hwy 41 South, Post Office Box 381, Smarr, GA 31086. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
