Forsyth . . . Born in LaGrange Ga. to Annie Mae and Luther Borders, Sr., Marjorie graduated from Rosemont High School and pursued a nursing degree from Piedmont Hospital School of Nursing in Atlanta.
Marjorie met and married William (Bill) Zellner of Forsyth, Ga. Though Bill’s career landed them in several states, they returned to Ga. in 1976. Marjorie retired from the Monroe Co. Hospital in Forsyth, after a 46 year nursing career.
Marjorie served as a member of the Monroe County Hospital Authority. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, The United Daughters of the Confederacy, The Eastern Star, and served Shiloh Baptist Church in several positions.
Marjorie is predeceased by her husband Bill, her parents, Annie Mae and Luther Borders, Sr., her brother, Luther Borders, Jr., and her sister, Ethel Grace Wright.
She is survived by her children: Carol Z. Horne (Sinclair), John H. Zellner (Debbie), Nancy Z. Schulz (Rick) and Barbara Z. Goree (Ronnie), all of whom reside in Monroe Co, her grandchildren: Todd and Marlys Horne, James and Heidi Horne, John W. Zellner, Wesley and Michelle Zellner, Christine Mitchell, George Schulz, Sarah Schulz, Morgan Schulz and Bradey Lanham, her great-grandchildren: Grace and Pearce Horne, Isabella and Olive Zellner, Samuel and Anna Mitchell, and Avery Durry, sisters-in-law: Margaret Z. Zellner of Hazlehurst, Mississippi, Dot Bazemore of Forsyth and Lucy (Jimmy) Stocks of Forsyth.

Visitation will be Saturday afternoon, February 6th, 2016 from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church, 1530 Old Atlanta Hwy. South, Barnesville, GA at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 7th with private burial at Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens in Forsyth.
