VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE Juliette . . . Martha Helen Starr Cass passed away Monday, February 1, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at Maynard Baptist Church with burial in Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens. Dr. Marvin Lee and Dr. Gary Hopkins will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.
Mrs. Cass, the daughter of the late Joseph Carl Starr and Virginia Gardner Starr was born September 11, 1944, in Forsyth, Georgia. Her husband, Robert Edwin Cass and her sister, Geraldine Goodson Ham preceded her in death. Bob and Martha will celebrate their fifty-first anniversary together in Heaven on February 2, 2016. Mrs. Cass was voted Miss Mary Persons in 1962. She was a retired partner with Coggin and Mann Printing Company and was a member of Maynard Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Houston Karl (Charlene) Cass of Juliette, Kathy Cass (Wes) Leggett of Barnesville, and Gini Cass (Dave) Seitz of Juliette; brothers, J.C. (Artie) Starr of Forsyth and Bill (Kathy) Starr of Forsyth; sisters, Virginia Starr (Charles) Funderburke of Forsyth, Mary Starr (Jimmy) Mullis of Forsyth, Barbara Starr (John) Howell of Forsyth and Joyce Starr Smith of Forsyth; brother-in-law, Max Ham of Smarr; grandchildren, John Wallace Graham, III, Chandler and Blake Leggett, Houston Kyle Cass, Zachary Keith Cooper, Robert Evan Cass, Halie Brook Seitz, Cadi Ashlyn Seitz and Kylie Leigh Seitz; and great grandchildren, Christian Jade Graham and Madisyn Esme Audler.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Maynard Baptist Church, Post Office Box 576, Forsyth, GA 31029 or to Jay’s Hope Foundation, 1157 B Forsyth Street, Macon, GA 31201.
