Juliette. . . Linda Darnell Hill Bowdoin passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 24, 2014, at Juliette United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Brian Moore and Rev. Gary Hopkins will officiate. The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.
Mrs. Bowdoin, the daughter of the late William and Rilla Huckeba Hill was born September 14, 1941, in Juliette, Georgia. Her brothers, W. T. Hill and Stanley Hill and her sisters, Edna Davidson and Beulah Johnson preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and also co-owner and operator of Bowdoin Grocery, where she worked alongside her husband for fifty-five years.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin E. Bowdoin of Juliette; children, Tony Bowdoin, Teri (Mike) Pless and Libbie Adams of Juliette; sisters, Eva Atkins of Macon, Kay Godfrey of Warner Robins and Ilah Bishop of Stone Mountain; grandchildren, Ben Bowdoin, Will Bowdoin, Jonathan Pless, Alan Pless and Ava Adams.
