Thomaston . . . Anne Jacqueline “Jackie” Williams passed away Monday, December 28, 2015. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 1, 2016, at Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens. Rev. Brian Moore will officiate. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.
Mrs. Williams, the daughter of the late Ben and Jewell Jones was born June 22, 1930, in Molena, Georgia. Her husband of fifty years, James M. Coleman and her husband, Gene Williams preceded her in death. Mrs. Williams was a graduate of R. E. Lee High School in Thomaston. She was retired from Monroe Academy, worked with the Monroe County Historical Society and was instrumental in getting the caboose to Forsyth.
Survivors include her children, Steve (Debbie) Coleman of Forsyth and Alan (Angela) Coleman of Forsyth; sister, Betty (James) Dawkins of Thomaston; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Monroe County Historical Society, 126 E Johnston Street, Forsyth, GA 31029 or to donor’s favorite charity.
Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
