Robert Leonard Smith

Forsyth . . . Robert Leonard Smith passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at Forsyth United Methodist Church.  Rev. Darris Baker will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service at the church.  Mr. Smith, the son of the late Curtis Martin Smith, Sr. and Catheryn Rose Smith was born December 15, 1939, in Cochran, Georgia. His wife, Judy French Smith, his sister, Joanne Smith and his granddaughter, Kaleigh Lynn McKoy preceded him in death.  He was retired from Robins Air Force Base and was a veteran of the United States Army.  Survivors include his daughter, Dana Smith McKoy of Newnan; step-son, Carl (Melissa) Culpepper of Peachtree Corners; sister, Becky (Steve Vandegriff) Smith of Forsyth; brothers, Curtis Martin (Dinah) Smith of Baxley and Harold (Glenda) Smith of Forsyth; granddaughter, Callie Rose McKoy.  The family may be contacted at 31 Logwall Church Road, Forsyth, GA 31029.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Forsyth United Methodist Church, 68 West Johnston Street, Forsyth, GA 31029 or to donor’s favorite charity.  Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
