Richard Emory Taylor   Culloden . . . Richard Emory Taylor passed away Saturday, November 14, 2015.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at Monroe County Chapel with burial in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, 10 Flint River Road, Jonesboro, GA 30238. Rev. Eric Byrd will officiate.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.  Mr. Taylor, the son of the late Lloyd Robert Taylor and Gadie Mae Barronton Taylor, was born September 28, 1930, at Stone Mountain, Georgia.  He was a retired painter and a Mason.  Survivors include his wife, Jean Taylor of Culloden; children, Richard (Gwyn) Taylor, Jr. of Demorest, John Robert (Sherry) Taylor of Florida and Patricia Leah Shoemaker of Jackson; brothers, Charles Leslie (Mary) Taylor of Jonesboro, Bussell Leon (Linda) Taylor of Culloden and Paul Wesley (Harriett) Taylor of Culloden; sister, Betty Hoy of Jenkinsburg; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
