Forsyth . . . Lewis Lacey “Sarge” Watts passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens, with full military honors. Rev. Franklin Etheridge will officiate. The family will greet friends the day of the service from 11:30 a. m. until the hour of the service, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.
Mr. Watts, the son of the late John Wesley Watts and Pearlie Marie Cox Watts was born June 16, 1944, in Macon, Georgia. He retired from the United States Army, after twenty-three years of service, having served in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967. Mr. Watts also retired from Riverside Ford. He was a member of the Monroe County Moose Lodge 2424 and was an avid classic car restorer and collector.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn Gentry Watts of Forsyth; children, Bryan (JoAnn) Watts of Warner Robins, John (JoAnn) Watts of San Antonio, Texas and David (Cindi) Watts of Temple, Texas; brother, Raymond Watts of Macon; sister, Frances Watts of Thomaston; sister-in-law, Linda Watts of Forsyth; thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
