William Edward “Mr. Ed” Vinson, Sr.
Forsyth . . . William Edward “Mr. Ed” Vinson, Sr. passed away Thursday, October 15, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Rocky Creek Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Scott Harrell and Rev. Natalie King will officiate. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Vinson, the son of the late Grady Columbus Vinson and Desty Johnson Vinson was born October 5, 1928, in Columbus, Georgia. He was a retired Plant Engineer for Bibb Company. Mr. Vinson was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church, an avid gardener and loved hunting and fishing. He was a Master Mason since July 18, 1957, a member of Strict Observance # 18 and a former Scout Master of Troop 219 Columbus, Georgia.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Vinson; children, Eddie (Brenda) Vinson, Joel (Denise) Vinson and Mike (Carolyn) Vinson, all of Forsyth; eleven grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Rocky Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 225 Rocky Creek Road, Forsyth, GA 31029.
Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
