Frances S. Brown-Dodd Gray . . . Frances S. Brown-Dodd went home to be with the Lord Jesus on Monday, October 12, 2015. Memorial services will be Sunday, October 18, 2015, at 2:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church in Gray, with visitation to follow. Rev. Randy Darnell will officiate. Burial will be private. Mrs. Dodd, the daughter of the late Alvin Delois Smith and Lucille Hubbard Smith was born October 20, 1937, in Emanuel County, Georgia. Her husband of almost seventeen years Horace E. (Hinky) Dodd and her sons, Mitchell Brown and James Ashley Brown preceded her in death. She was owner and operator of Frances S. Brown-Dodd, Inc. and was a member of Georgia Association of Accountants and Tax Professionals. Mrs. Dodd was a member of First Baptist Church in Gray and a member of Lois Glawson Sunday School Class. Survivors include her sisters, Thelma (Philip) Stanford of Gray, Johnnie (Wade) Rountree Sr. of Macon and Polly Carranza of Warner Robins, Georgia; step-children, Jay (Doris) Young of Lula, Georgia and Vic (Toni) Dodd of Roopville, Georgia; grandchildren, Anthonie G. Dodd, Madison P. Young, Savannah A. Young and Maggie Dodd. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to First Baptist Church, 134 West Clinton Street, Gray, GA 31032.  Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
