Kathryn Benson Tingle

Kathryn Brewer Benson Tingle  Forsyth . . Kathryn Brewer Benson Tingle, 88, of Forsyth, GA slipped into eternal rest on October 7th. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 10, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. in the Forsyth United Methodist Church, Forsyth, GA.  with her nephew,the Rev. Mike Benson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be private.  Mrs. Tingle was born on November 15, 1926 in Atlanta Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Kate and Charlie Benson and grew up in Smarr, GA . After graduating from Mary Persons High School she attended Nurse’s training and eventually retired after 43 years of nursing at the Forsyth Clinic. She was an exceptional role model with a servant’s heart.  She was a member of the Forsyth United Methodist Church. After retirement she enjoyed traveling with her friends, working in her yard, and enjoying her pets at her home along the bank of her beloved Tobesofkee  creek.  She was given the gift of time that her first love and husband, Archie Tingle, and her devoted daughter, Barbara MacMillan, were not.  Survivors include daughter Kathy Jenkins and son Joe Tingle (Ava) of Forsyth, son-in-law Buzzy McMillan (Annette) of Calhoun, GA., four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, brother Charles  (Betty Jane) Benson of Warner Robins and sister- in- law Sue Benson of Forsyth. She was preceded in death by her brothers Bob Benson, Allen Benson, Harold Benson and sister Louise Melton. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Save-A-Pet Inc., P.O. Box 933, Forsyth, GA 31029 or the Forsyth United Methodist Church, P.O.
