William “Bill” Cox, Jr.  Macon . . . William “Bill” Cox, Jr. passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, September 25, 2015, at Centenary United Methodist Church, 1290 College Street, Macon, GA 31201. Burial will be private. Dr. Matt McGowan will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service at the church.  Mr. Cox, the son of the late William U. Cox, Sr. and Eleanor Alphin Lewis, was born July 17, 1952, in Durham, North Carolina. He retired from Thompson Lift Truck Company, as a sales representative. Mr. Cox was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, a 1971 graduate of Mark Smith High School where he lettered in football.  Survivors include his wife, Barbara Cox of Macon; sister, Lyn (Ricky) Collins of Macon; and nieces, Kaeleigh Collins and Kristen Collins.  In lieu of flowers, in memory of Bill’s love for animals, donations may be made to Central Georgia C.A.R.E.S., 520 Professional Drive, Suite 2, Macon, GA 31210 or via PayPal, acpupfund@yahoo.com .   Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
