Ellen Wilder PryorA Memorial Service will be held for Ellen Wilder Pryor on Saturday, October 10th at 11:00am at the Forsyth United Methodist Church, 68 West Johnston Street, Forsyth, GA. Immediately following the Service, the family will remain at the church to receive friends.  Mrs. Pryor, born June 10, 1951 in Forsyth, GA passed away on September 17th, 2015 and was predeceased by her beloved spouse Shepherd G. Pryor III of Atlanta, GA. She was the daughter of the late Frank N. Wilder III and Billie Wilder Baxley and a 1969 graduate of Mary Persons High School.  Ellen, a retired CPA, received both a BS in Home Economics at Georgia Southern University in 1974 and a BBA in Accounting from Kennesaw State University in 1989. She lived in the Atlanta area for most of her adult life, and was married to Shepherd G. Pryor III for 22 years until his passing in 2003. She moved back to her hometown in 2008.  Ellen was a faithful member of the Forsyth United Methodist Church and attended Sunday School at Ebenezer United Methodist Church. For many years she was an active member of Sandy Springs United Methodist Church serving on several committees.  Ellen enjoyed watching football, and listening to all types of music. She was a passionate and loving advocate of her home state and regularly vacationed on the Georgia Coast. An active citizen, she joyfully volunteered her time with several service groups to support education for women, animal rescue, and most recently the Monroe County Historical Society. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, and lovingly shopping for just that perfect gift for her friends and family.  Ellen is survived by her siblings Mary Wilder (Barry) Walker of Forsyth, GA, Margaret Wilder (Don) Davis of Cordele, GA, Frank N. (Donna) Wilder IV of Forsyth, GA, and Ruth Wilder (Richard) Feldman of Ridgefield, CT and nephews Frank N. Wilder V and Jacob F. Feldman and nieces Laura L. Wilder, Natalie Davis Adkins and Mallory J. Feldman along with a large extended family through the blessing of marriage. She will be greatly missed.  Monroe County Memorial Chapel is overseeing services. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Save a Pet, Inc., P. O. Box 933, Forsyth, GA. 31029 or the Forsyth United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 108, Forsyth, Ga. 31029.  Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
