Norma Jean Mitchell Forsyth . . . Norma Jean Mitchell passed away Monday, September 14, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 18, 2015, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel with burial in Forsyth City Cemetery. Rev. Mark Goolsby will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 17, 2015, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Mitchell, the daughter of the late J L Greer ad Willie Claude Hammock Greer was born May 31, 1942, in Forsyth, Georgia. She was a retired housekeeper. Survivors include her husband, Mather Duane Mitchell of Forsyth; children, Sherroll Flanigan of Forsyth, Sarah McNair of Macon and Felicia Canady of Stone Mountain; sister, Linda Faye Rowlett of Lilburn; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The family would like to acknowledge friends, nieces, nephews, caregivers and family members that helped while she was under Hospice care.
