Forsyth . . . Marion Lewis White, Sr. passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday July 1, 2015, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel with burial in Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens. Dr. H. Darrell Watson will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mr. White, the son of the late Otis Hudson White and Lucy Ware White, was born December 4, 1921, in Lagrange, Georgia. His daughter, Marsha White Cleveland and his son, Marion Lewis White, Jr., preceded him death. He retired from Gulf Insurance Company as an insurance agent, was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, serving during World War II, a member of First Baptist Church and a member of Barnesville Rotary Club. Survivors include his wife, Colleen White of Forsyth; children, Deidra (Greg) Arends of Sugar Grove, Illinois, Cyree White of Stockbridge and Michelle Smith of Forsyth; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to First Baptist Church Renovation Building Fund, 95 West Morse Street, Forsyth, GA 31029.
