Danny Lamar Carreker Macon . . . Danny Lamar Carreker passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 5, 2015, at Midway Baptist Church, 1200 Moseley Road, Macon, GA 31220, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Steve Carreker will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service at the church. Mr. Carreker was born April 23, 1953, in Macon, Georgia. His father, James Camp Carreker and his brother, Mike Carreker preceded him in death. He was employed with Griffin Warehouse as a truck driver, but was a true cowboy. Survivors include his wife, Tina Couch Carreker of Macon; children, Daniel (Leanne) Carreker of Lizella and Danyel (Foster) Vance of Macon; mother, Helen Carreker of Macon; sister, Debbie (Jeff) Harville of Lizella; brother, Rev. Steve (Sherri) Carreker of Oregon; sister in law, Bonnie Carreker of Hinesville; four grandchildren, Gabe Carreker, Bailey Carreker, Adalynn Vance and Amelya Vance. Those who wish to wear cowboy hats, cowgirl hats and jeans, would make Danny very proud. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
