Melvin Bryant Richardson
Forsyth . . . Melvin Bryant Richardson passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 22, 2015, at New Providence Baptist Church with burial in Monroe Memorial Gardens. Rev. Brian Moore will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.
Mr. Richardson, the son of the late Cassell Raleigh and Mary Bryant Richardson was born January 25, 1927, in Trion, Georgia. His wife, Frances Irene Ham Richardson, his daughter, Judith Anne Moore and his granddaughter, Shelley Faith Studdard preceded him in death. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base, was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Japan and the Philippines during World War II and also a veteran of the GA National Guard. He was a member of New Providence Baptist Church.
Survivors include his children, Sandra Studdard of Macon, Wanda (Jon) French of Culloden and Linda (Randy) Miller of Tallahassee, Florida; son-in-law, Ronnie Moore of Forsyth; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
