Betty Banks Copeland Juliette . . . Betty Banks Copeland passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at Juliette Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Frank Davis, Rev. Jerry Eiland and Rev. Stephen Kitchens will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Copeland, the daughter of the late Walter Ralph Banks and Mary Lucy Harper Banks was born March 25, 1928, in Atlanta, Georgia. Her husband, Edgar Cecil Copeland preceded her in death. She retired from Plant Scherer as a plant secretary. Mrs. Copeland graduated from Mary Persons High School in 1945. She was the oldest member of Juliette Baptist Church; she taught Sunday school for over seventy years and was the church organist. Survivors include her children, Michael Edgar (Sandra) Copeland of Juliette and Lisa (Mark) Jenkins of Forsyth; grandchildren, Rebecca (Brent) Jones, Rachel Jenkins, Mary Beth Jenkins, Adam Copeland, Hope Mashburn, Courtney Copeland and Katie Copeland. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Juliette Baptist Church, Post Office Box 70, Juliette, GA 31046. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
