Vernelle Allen Bunn Forsyth . . . Vernelle Allen Bunn passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 23, 2015, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Rev. Brian Moore will officiate. Burial will be private in Eastview Cemetery, Zebulon, Georgia. The family will greet friends the day of the service from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Bunn, the daughter of the late Glenn Blanton Allen and Ruby Thomas Allen was born March 12, 1930, in Hartwell, Georgia. Her husband, Thomas Alton Bunn, her steps sons, William Morris and Gerald Bunn preceded her in death. She retired from William Carter Company after thirty plus years of service. Mrs. Bunn was an active member of Monroe County OAC and a member of New Providence Baptist Church. Survivors include her children, Sandra Morris of Phoenix, Arizona, Judy (Dennis) Doucet of Macon, Hugh (Barbara) Morris of Macon and Sheryl Bunn of Smyrna; sister, Betty Jo Bishop of Meansville; brother, James (Sue) Allen of Eatonton; sister in law, Joan Allen of Thomaston; brother in law, Bobby Gordy of Griffin; grandchildren, Kevin Chapman and Ari Morris. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, GA 31201 or to the American Heart Association, 1101 Northchase Parkway, Suite 1, Marietta, GA 30067-6411. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
