Nellie Lorene Kinchen Lizella . . . . . Nellie Lorene Kinchen passed to be with The Lord Sunday, January 25, 2015 at age 75. Nellie, who went by the name of Lorene, was born in Rentz, Georgia on August 13, 1939. Lorene enjoyed serving the Lord as pianist and organist of Southside Baptist Church and was a current member of Lizella Baptist Church. Lorene worked with Keebler for 33 years where she had many lifelong friends. Mema, as known by her family, loved her family, neighbors and her animals. She touched the hearts and souls of many individuals throughout her life and believed in living a simple life devoted to our Lord. Lorene is preceded in death by her mother, Thelma Bivins, her father, Nelson Coleman and her husband, Gene Kinchen. Lorene is survived by her brother, Y.H. Coleman and sisters, Jane Hopper and Linder Green. Her children, William Tony and Kitty Widner, Priscilla Lorene and Dan Walton, Reuben David and Cheryl Widner and Curtis Lamar Widner. Grandchildren, Danielle Walton, Tiffany and Jonathan Padolsky, William Paul Widner, Stephanie Widner, Matt Widner, Eric Widner, Angela Luzader, and Brian and Tina Luzader. Great grandchildren, Skyler, Sophia, Monty, Jackson and Parker. The funeral service to celebrate the life of Nellie Lorene Kinchen will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Lizella Baptist Church, 2950 S. Lizella Road, Lizella, GA 31052 with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Dr. Shannon Back will officiate. The family will greet friends the day of the service from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Lizella Baptist Church. The family will accept flowers or request donations to Lizella Baptist Church H.O.P.E. Cancer Fund, 2950 S. Lizella Road, Lizella, GA 31052. H.O.P.E. Cancer Fund exists to help others through prayer and encouragement as they walk through personal battles with cancer. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
