Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, January 4, 2015, at Rock Springs Church with burial in Memory Hill Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia. Dr. Benny Tate will officiate. The family will greet friends the day of the service from 1:30 p.m. until service time at Rock Springs Church. Mr. Cox, the son of the late Frank M. Cox, Sr. and Mary Thomas Cox was born November 7, 1939, in Winston Salem, North Carolina. He loved the Lord and all God’s children. Mr. Cox retired from Central Georgia Technical College as an automotive instructor and was a veteran of the United States Army. He volunteered for Save A Pet and had a special love for all animals. Survivors include his wife, Jennie P. Cox of Forsyth; son, Chad Cox of Forsyth; daughter, Anissa Journell of Salem Virginia; and four grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Save A Pet, Post Office Box 933, Forsyth, GA 31029. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
