William Thomas Owens, Sr. Forsyth . . . William Thomas Owens, Sr. went to be with his Heavenly Father Sunday, December 14, 2014. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at Dames Ferry Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Martin Dillon will officiate. The family will greet friends the day of the service from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Mr. Owens, the son of the late Minnus Dow Owens and Mamie Patricia Ferris Owens, was born September 2, 1939, in Cookeville, Tennessee. His daughter, Teresa Dupree Gaskill, his brothers and sisters preceded him in death. He was retired from Green Heating & Plumbing Company after forty-three years of service. Mr. Owens was a member of Dames Ferry Baptist Church. Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-three years, Barbara Owens of Juliette; son, Tommy Owens of Juliette, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
