Annie McCrary Smith
Forsyth . . . . Annie McCrary Smith died Saturday, December 13, 2014, in Forsyth.
She was the daughter of Nolen and Winifred Roberts McCrary. She was born January 5, 1926 in Macon, GA.
She was a graduate of Miller High School in 1943 and Macon Hospital School for Nursing in 1946. She also was in the first class of the Cadet Nurse Corp and worked as a RN for 40 years.
She met her husband of 55 years, Harold P. Smith, while he was stationed at Robins AFB during WWII. They lived in Port Allegany, PA for over 50 years before moving to Forsyth.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold P. Smith, her daughter Patricia Ann and her son Bruce Neal.
She is survived by her sister, Belle Howard of Forsyth, four Grand Children, twelve Great-Grand Children and several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Forsyth Methodist Church.
Burial will be at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, December 14, 2014. The family will greet friends at the graveside.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Salvation Army in Macon or the Circle of Care in Forsyth.
Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
