Agnes Jackson Smith Forsyth . . . Agnes Jackson Smith passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 6, 2014, at Monroe Memorial Gardens. Reverend Franklin Etheridge will officiate. The family will greet friends the day of the service from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Smith, the daughter of the late Thomas Elmo Jackson and Minnie Lou Bostick Jackson was born October 4, 1927, in Crawford County, Georgia. Her husband, Asa Clifford Smith, Sr., her brother, Phillip E. Jackson, her sister, Geraldine Bullard and her granddaughter, Shannon Funderburke preceded her in death. She was retired from William Carter Company. Survivors include her children, Asa Clifford (Dawn) Smith, Jr. of Forsyth and Phyllis (Ray) Cole of Griffin; sister, Ruth Mixon of Gordon; brother, Walter Jackson of Juliette; grandchildren, Todd Smith of Lizella, Whitney Foster of Griffin, Christopher Mitchell of Macon and Lin Mitchell of Forsyth; ten great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to American Parkinson Disease Association, Georgia Chapter, Post Office Box 49416, Atlanta, GA 30359. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
