Anne Jenkins Allen Macon . . . Anne Jenkins Allen passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 4, 2014, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel with burial in Monroe Memorial Gardens. Reverend Danny Parker will officiate. The family will greet friends the day of the funeral from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Allen, the daughter of the late John Henry Jenkins and Mary Leona Callaway Jenkins was born August 17, 1931, in Juliette, Georgia. Her husband, Bob Persons Allen, Sr. preceded her in death. She retired from Dr. Patton Smith and Dr. J. Ray Grant’s office as a receptionist. Mrs. Allen was a member of Wesleyan Drive Baptist Church. Survivors include her children, Bob (Yvonne) Allen, Jr. of Augusta, Jim (Nancy) Allen of Roswell and Lesa (Mark) Johnson of Macon; brother, Billy (Glenda) Jenkins of Forsyth; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
