Betty Hodges Seymour Macon . . . Betty Carolyn Hodges Seymour passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 3, 2014, at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Tim Long will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 2, 2014, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel, 86 West Main Street, Forsyth, GA 31029. Mrs. Seymour, the daughter of the late Elzey Carlton Hodges and Marie Evelyn Cranford Hodges was born August 29, 1932, in Sandersville, Georgia. Her husband, Julian Eugene Seymour, Jr. and her brother, Jimmy Carlton Hodges, preceded her in death. She was retired owner and operator of Kuntry Kiddie Day Care - Preschool. She won the Miss Hadacol Pageant in 1950. Survivors include her children, Kim Sheree (Dewy Davis) Seymour and Scott E. (Helen) Seymour, Sr. of Macon; grandson, Scott E. Seymour, Jr. of Macon and step grandchildren, Monica Carr of Macon and Hillary Novak of Fairfield, California. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The Children’s Hospital, 888 Pine Street, Macon, GA 31201. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
