Myrtle Elizabeth Bailey Forsyth . . . Myrtle Elizabeth Bailey passed away Friday, September 19, 2014. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens. Reverend Franklin Etheridge will officiate. The family will greet friends the day of the service from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Bailey, the daughter of the late Benjamin Ward Jenkins and Annie Grubbs Jenkins was born May 5, 1922, in Forsyth, Georgia. Her husband, Bennie Lee Bailey, Sr. and her son, Gary Bailey preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a member of Paran Baptist Church. Survivors include her children, Bennie Lee Bailey, Jr. of Lexington, South Carolina and Mark Jenkins Bailey of Forsyth; sister, Bennie Carolyn Wynn of Warner Robins and six grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Paran Baptist Church, 5691 GA Hwy 42 North, Forsyth, GA 31029. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
